“Birdsfoot Barn.” Artist: Allison Montroy, Ogdensburg, NY.
“This piece is a plein air painting done with acrylic on canvas board as part of the 2023 SLC Arts Plein Air festival. It was done on site at Birdsfoot Farm in Canton NY and focuses on the view of the barn from the roadside, highlighting the fields in the foreground with the barn peaking through the trees in the background. Prints of this piece are available through SLC Arts, with all proceeds donated to the arts council. Allison Montroy, found online at @ArtisticInquiry, is a multi-disciplinary artist from Ogdensburg NY. Allison focuses less on being an expert in any one medium and more on leveraging whichever medium best helps tell a story. Most of their works explore the juxtaposition of different perspectives in hopes of making the viewer see or feel seen in a new way.”
